Turmeric has an incredible ability to modulate inflammation, and is especially helpful for chronic inflammation, which for us lymphies can be something that we need to continuously work on. Enjoy this delicious drink in the morning or afternoon and know you are supporting your lymph system with something tasty and healthy.
To get the most of your latte on an energetic level, synergy of spices is important and so cool too!
The way to get the most out of Turmeric is to combine with oil and black pepper. Black pepper increases the bio-availability of turmeric by 2000 percent! Heat and oil help extract the constituents of turmeric as well. This is why a hot drink is a great way to consume turmeric.
Ingredients
2 c. plant-based milk (almond, oat, or soy, etc.)
1-1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. Red Reishi mushroom powder (optional)
1 tbsp. oil (coconut oil, ghee, avocado oil)
1/2-1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
1/2 tsp. Rose petals, dried
Gently warm the milk in a small saucepan on the stove, stir in the other ingredients, until steaming.
Pour into your fav mug or two if sharing with a friend or family member. I like to make mine frothy, so i whisk with a milk frother at the end to make it foamy. Just be careful, as your milk is steaming hot!
I love to sprinkle mine with rose petals on top for heart loving addition.
